What We Do

Our Children’s Home, “Notre Dame de la Médaille Miraculeuse,” offers a safe and nurturing environment for 80+ children aged between 2 and 18 years from the most impoverished segments of Cap-Haïtien and surrounding regions. Many of these children are orphans or come from families unable to provide adequate care due to extreme poverty or social instability.

We provide not just shelter but a home where children receive nutritious meals, healthcare, educational support, and emotional care. Our aim is to foster a family-like atmosphere that promotes growth, learning, and well-being.

• Personalized Care: Children are grouped by age and gender into eight residential houses within our facility. Each group is overseen by dedicated caregivers responsible for daily routines, discipline, and maintaining a supportive living environment.
• Educational Support: After attending our on-site school, children receive additional homework assistance to reinforce learning and address academic challenges. Our focus on education equips them with the skills needed for a brighter future.
• Health and Nutrition: Regular medical check-ups and a balanced diet are provided to ensure the physical well-being of every child. We prioritize healthcare to address both preventive and immediate medical needs.

Emotional and Social Development: Through recreational activities like arts, music, and sports, we encourage children to develop social skills, express themselves creatively, and build self-esteem.
